i got to go to my family reunion this year. it's been about 10 years since my Jackson side had one. not only did i get to see many of my wonderful cousins (and missed those who couldn't come) but i got to be with all my siblings.
this isn't something i really appreciated when you are kids. everyone bumping into each other in our little house, trying to get along, and play nice. Now that we're all grown up it's like the best day ever when we're in the same state! Kelly has been living in Idaho, but now lives in West Jordan, Joe and I are in Provo so we see each other once in a while. it's sad how just 20 miles between us and we don't see each other every day. Em and Brad were in Utah, but now live in Portland and get to see Jim who lives in Springfield once in a while. Man i wish we were all living close again. It's so much more fun to be adults together. To talk and learn about each other, and so silly things.
I love my family, and i'm so grateful they are wonderful to me. They are my built in friends. I'm so happy we will always have each other. One weekend a year may not be much, but i'll take it to get to hang out with this handsome bunch!
