Have you ever been Geocaching? Check out the website here.
Joe and I tried it out this weekend.
Here's what you do.
You go on the website and find a cache. You enter the coordinates into a GPS and start your adventure! You follow the GPS till it takes you to where your cache is hidden. Then comes the hard part. Geocaches come in various shapes and sizes. Some are smaller than a dime, some are the size of a kitchen tupperware, some are crafting totes. One we did was virtual! You go to the cemetery and follow the challenge outlined on the website and take a picture of something, rather than finding a cache box. The cache boxes are so fun to find because you get to sign your name in the log book with all the other people who have found the cache. Some of the cache boxes people leave trinkets when they find them, so you can leave something there and take something with you. We left little green army men! I think this'll be a great family activity, you get to hunt for treasure! we're definitely taking our family and future kids to do this.
Our first attempt, virtual cache.
We couldn't find this one. sad faces.
Success!
Found it!
No luck this time.

So fun! We'll have to do that with Mari.
