It was my birthday last week. My parents drove over from Oregon and we drove to northern Montana for my birthday tuesday. If you take the Going to the Sun Road you can see 50 miles of glaciers, waterfalls, mountain goats, mountain passes, and many other beautiful works of the Father.
Sad to say on my birthday we only got to see 15 miles of it. The road was closed due to snow and our amazing vistas will just have to be vista-ed another time. It rained but that didn't damped our trip! We got out of the car a lot to view beautiful meadows and raging rivers. We saw mostly deer and birds, a few ground squirrels.
We went back to camp monday night and my dad made dutch oven stew and black forest cake. the rain held off long enough for us to make a great dinner. We spent the night in a yurt, which was very enjoyable. We had futons and a heater. The camp office had hot showers and clean bathrooms. It was camping luxury. I love my birthday, and my family, and camping. Life can't get better.
